How to use RSS

What is RSS?
RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication." It’s a way for CNBC.com to send updated headlines and blog posts to you. Setting up RSS feeds supplies the ability to pull the news information you are interested in seeing from a variety of different websites into one location without having to visit the websites you have taken the feed from. Click here to review some more basic information about RSS.


How do I begin using RSS feeds?
You will need something called a news reader.

News readers check the feeds you have selected and provide you with any updated RSS content. There are many different versions of RSS readers. Below please find links to a few:

Can I add a CNBC.com RSS feed to my RSS Reader?
Yes. Instructions will vary slightly based upon the Reader you choose. Clicking on the RSS button (plug in design) within CNBC.com content will provide you with the web address (URL) necessary to add our feed to your Reader. The help documentation within the Reader you choose should be able to specifically identify these process steps.
